Purple Team Rocks!!!

I am on the Purple Team for the Biggest Loser. Here is a picture of my shirt that we wear on Saturdays when we have challenges. My team has won all but two weigh in's during the last 7 weeks!!!

Some New Clothes!!!!

Why Yes, those are Size 16 jeans! They fit me!!! I haven't seen 16 since, I don't even know when. You know when you go to try on things and they are still tight but you buy them b/c you'll "fit into them" later on? Well, these fit like I could wear them out the store and would be able to breathe! So, I have had three Kohl's gift cards since Christmas and my birthday. I haven't wanted to use them until now. So, I got a lot of new clothes with them!! All of the shirts are Large! I was also able to get some really good workout pants. Those skintight ones that you see everyone wearing but you don't have of your own. My two sweaters are Large also!!!

Race Pictures

I am a runner. I just don't have a healthy body of a runner. That's what I am working on Through the Kennesaw Biggest Loser. My siblings were able to do this race with us last October! I was finishing up the Guns and Hoses 5K The first time we did The Hot Lips Hustle 5K Running For The Bay 10K

Having fun this past Fourth of July for a 5K

Goals!

I think a BIG thing about losing weight is setting goals. Yes, I would like to be 150, but that's a long way from where I am at now. So, I decided to make me some good goals!! 1. When I lost 10 pounds, I was able to get a book that I had heard wonderful things about and really wanted to read. 2. Once I get to 199, finally under 200!!! I want to use my Gift Certificate from my wonderful friend April to get a pedicure!!! (As of today, I have 6 pounds until I can get it!) 3. I so just found this dress in the back of my closet. My next goal is to be able to fit into this dress!!! I would LOVE to wear it for Awards Day at the end of the year.

New Year's Resolutions

Last years Resolution was to do some kind of race each month. I did it and even did two races in one month. Here is a picture of my wall in my bedroom of all of my tags and my medals from running!!

Flight or Fight

This week my friend Kacee and I decided to try out a class a day at Gold's Gym since we have off for February Break. I tried Body Step, Zumba, did Spinning again, and then today came Pilates. Who wouldn't like to stretch and do easy movements? I found out quickly that person is Me! For some reason my anxiety kicked in and I felt dizzy and just didn't like it. So, now I know that isn't for me.

This week I also have learned what my real flight or fight reaction is. Yes, I have had anxiety for years. Yes, there are instances/times that were overwhelming. Yes, I have had therapy and know what to do to not bring one on or take care when I am feeling overwhelmed. Well, the other day my body just took over. I have been having nosebleeds for quite a while. Enough that it was getting in the way of work, I would be out of the room for 10-15 minutes trying to get it to stop. I told my doctor at my last checkup of what had been going on and she said to try Vaseline in my nose and to see if it would just stop on my own. Okay, it didn't. Since my mother has the rare blood disorder and every doctor wonders if Jenny or I have it, my doctor Monday told me to go to an ENT to see what was going on in my nose. I took my Mom with me b/c it something needed to be one, I wanted someone to be there. So, the doctor looked in my nose and found that I did not have any of what my mother has, but did have something that needed to take care of. I decided to have it cauterized. Both nostrils got cotton balls in it that helped numb my nose. I then got the worst shot to numb it all. The doctor said that it was the worst of everything. He was LYING!! He started to use the electrical waves to cauterize and......I yelled out the worst words you can to anyone. I felt waves go through my nose and it hurt so bad that I screamed out...."F*CK YOU to this new doctor that I just had met. I believe a SHIT!!! was also screamed out. He had to use the machine once more to get everything straightened out and now I am better. So, I believe that if I were to be in a dark alley and I creepy guy came up to me...I would indeed scream and call out for HELP!!!

I was in the Paper!!

Check me out in The Marietta Daily Journal!! Our first big Challenge was last weekend. The week before we had to come up with a meal plan within our team. My team, The Purple Pound Smashers, was given dinner to come up with.

We were now being followed by a newspaper man and several photographers while getting to Publix in order to shop for our food. That Satrday we were given our team shirts to wear. We were supposed to complete each small task before going on to the next one. We first stretched and prepared ourselves for whatever was askked of us. We came to our first stop, a Brusters and were instructed to do push ups and squats on benches. We then went alittle further to the Blockbuster front to do jumping jacks, push ups, and my so not favorites, mountain climbers. Afterworse we raced to a balloon that matched our team color. We finally got to the outside of Publix where we were given more instructions and were able to stop and get some water. Each team had 20 minutes to go into Publix, purchase our food items, have the person bag the groceries, and to come back out. We were first out. Yeah!! After being asked a couple of questions from the newspaper man and took lots of pictures infront of Publix, we raced back to the Rec Center. My team had the first person and the first whole team to be back at the door!!

Thirty and Flirty

I have turned 30 this year. Even today, the girl doing my hair thought that I was 23 or 24 and didn't believe me when I said that I was 30. This is the year/time that everything is changing. I am changing and becoming better physically, mentally, and spiritually. Ce Ce Evans, my trainer says that you have to fix/ work on the inside while you are working on the outside. That's what I am doing by doing my best at every workout and also taking time to journal and be with the Lord.

CeCe told us last week to figure out what our weakness is. Eating plan? Workout? I instantly knew that what I need to work on more is drinking water and doing workouts on my off days. I am happy to say that I am getting myself to gym Tues, Thurs, and Friday nights. I am better if I do a class instead of just walking on the treadmill and thinking that I have done my body justice.

Some Pictures:

1. Brazil 2 year ago. It took all of the gusts I had to get to top to see Jesus Christo. I use this picture as one of my favorite profile pictures on facebook, even though my stomach is sticking out.

2. Meeting Ali Vincent. I have watched almost all of the Biggest Losers, bu my favorite is when Ali won. I was able to get a signed copy of her book and a small picture of her signed, that;s on my fridge today.

3. Running for The Bay half marathon/ 10K

I knew that I had not trained well enough to do the whole half marathon, so I opted to do the 10K instead. It kicked my butt.

4. The Warrior Dash is by far the hardest thing that I have ever done. Remember that I had a parasite in another country and I still count this being harder. I didn't train right for this, I thought that since I had been doing 5K's monthly, that it would be fine. I felt so good about myself once I crossed the finish line, but it also was an awakening of how unhealthy my body was. I had been running/jogging all of these races, but I was carrying around so much weight while doing them.

Here it Goes

Well, since one of my favorite shows is, How I Used to Be Fat, my sister said that I should be documenting my own weight loss. I have been thinking of doing this since the beginning of my Biggest Loser, I think that now is the best time to do it. I am in my seventh week of The Kennesaw Parks and Recreation Biggest Loser Competition. I was trying to find yet another race to do and found this on active.com right before Christmas time. I signed up the day after I found it. So, for seven weeks I have been going and doing: Monday Nights: 6:30-7:30 Work out Weds Nights: 6:30-8:00 Work out and then talk about Nutrition Saturday Mornings: 8:30-10:00 Weekly weigh in's/Monthly BMI detector and measurements. Bi-weekly we have challenged with our teams. There are Three Teams: Blue Black Purple I am on the purple team. To date I have lost 12.5 pounds and have lost a total of 9 inches from my body. 2 inches in bust, muffin top, waist, and then other parts adding up to 9.
